Major-league teams are vying for spots in post-season play.

And while they battle it out, the best high schoolers from North America will be heading to Jupiter, Fla.

A total of 120 teams will play in the 27th annual Perfect Game World Wood Bat tournament. In all, 30 pools of four teams will play three games in pool play.

The pool Winners and six Wild Cards team will advance to a 36-Team single elimination play.

The past few years -- outside of 2024 when Hurricane Milton threatened the event -- there have been 40 to 50 Canadians competing.

Two teams will be playing: the Canadian Premier, composed of CPBL players, and the Brewers/Langley Blaze, with Doug Mathieson always adding a few players from south of the border in his role as a Milwaukee scout. There will be other players scattered through the rosters.
