Elliott: Duncan, Canada Premier -- 56 Canucks in all -- at Jupiter for PG's WWBA

We are not in the re-run season.
But this story is going to read like one.
LHP Sean Duncan, the best prospect at the Canadian Futures Showcase last month, headlines Doug Mathieson’s Brewers Langley Blaze team headed for Jupiter and the 27th annual 121-team Perfect Game World Wood Bat championships, which opens today.
LHP Duncan (Port Coquitlam, BC), who pitches for the Blaze, was named the best talent under the dome by a number of our evaluators willing to give their opinion.
Duncan is ranked a first rounder by Baseball America and Perfect Game for the 2026 amateur draft. He is projected to go 26th overall by Baseball America, He was listed 105th by Perfect Game Scouting Service, after earlier being as high as 35.
While college recruiters were looking at Duncan during the action at the Rogers Centre, they won’t be in Jupiter. Duncan is locked up. He has committed to pitch for the Vanderbilt Commodores.
While most pro evaluators in Jupiter will be looking towards the 2026 draft ... nine months away ... college recruiters will be looking to lock up some of the total of 56 Canucks -- spread across 10 different teams.
Jamie Romak (London, Ont.) will manage the Canadian Premier, composed of players from the best in Canadian Premier League. Romak’s players who already have verbally committed include the likes of:

In his role as a Brewers scout Mathieson has 14 Canadians and the rest are American players.
