First 50 players selected to Canadian Futures Showcase announced

The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy unveiled the names of the first 50 players that have been selected to participate in the Canadian Futures Showcase on Friday.

The Canadian Futures Showcase, which will take place from September 16 to September 19 at the Rogers Centre, is an annual national amateur baseball showcase hosted by the Blue Jays Baseball Academy.

The goal of the event is to showcase the best amateur baseball players born in Canada, from across the country, with draft and college eligibility.

The event brings together the best Canadian players and gives them the opportunity to compete in front of as many MLB scouts and college recruiters as possible.
