WINNIPEG, MAN. – The Winnipeg Goldeyes will face the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in the best-of-three American Association West Division Series beginning Wednesday at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, North Dakota.

As the top seed in the West Division, the Kansas City Monarchs had the opportunity to select their first-round opponent and chose the Sioux Falls Canaries, setting up another postseason meeting between Winnipeg and Fargo-Moorhead.

The series schedule is as follows:

Game One: Wednesday, September 9 – 6:30 p.m. – Newman Outdoor Field, Fargo, N.D.

Game Two: Friday, September 11 – 7:00 p.m. – Blue Cross Park, Winnipeg, Man.

Game Three (if necessary): Saturday, September 12 – 7:00 p.m. – Blue Cross Park, Winnipeg, Man.

This will be the 13th postseason series between Winnipeg and Fargo-Moorhead, adding another chapter to their storied rivalry.

The RedHawks hold a 7-5 advantage in the previous 12 series, with Fargo-Moorhead owning a narrow 24-22 edge in individual postseason games.

The clubs first met in the playoffs in 1996 and faced one another nine times during their Northern League years. Winnipeg won series in 1997, 1999, and 2001, while Fargo-Moorhead prevailed in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2003, 2006, and 2009.

Since joining the American Association, the Goldeyes have won two of three postseason series against the RedHawks. Winnipeg swept Fargo-Moorhead 3-0 in the 2012 Division Series on the way to winning the American Association championship. Fargo-Moorhead won the 2022 Division Series two games to one before Winnipeg answered with a 2-1 victory in the 2024 West Division Championship Series.

In 2024, the Goldeyes opened the series with a 10-1 victory at Newman Outdoor Field before the RedHawks evened the series with a 5-3 win at Blue Cross Park. Winnipeg then defeated Fargo-Moorhead 3-1 in the deciding third game to advance to the Miles Wolff Cup Final.
