TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed veteran left-handed pitcher Adam Marra.

Marra returns to continue playing with his brothers Dan and Justin for his ninth season with the Leafs.

Last season, Marra reached a career high in games with 23 appearances. He pitched 25 1/3 Innings with a 1-1 record and a career high three saves, with 13 strikeouts.

After honing his skills with the Ontario Blue Jays, he continued playing at Mount Mercy University and graduated in 2018. In his IBL career, he has 101 appearances and 154 2/3 innings pitched. He owns a 6-6 record with 5 saves and 94 strikeouts.

"A left-handed reliever is very valuable to any pitching staff. He complements our other relievers, gives us a different look and he will take the ball whenever given the opportunity,” said Leafs GM Jeff Lounsbury
