Blue Jays from Away
In six games, the Blue Jays' affiliates were 2-4 on Saturday but got a pitching gem from the Lansing Lugnuts.
Buffalo Bisons 5, Columbus Clippers (CLE) 3
The Buffalo Bisons beat the Columbus Clippers, winning 5-3, getting stellar work from the bullpen to keep Columbus at bay.
Tayler Saucedo started, allowing all three Columbus runs in two innings, giving up three hits and four walks with four strikeouts. Kirby Snead tossed two scoreless innings, allowing just a hit and striking out five before Zach Jackson tossed two scoreless, giving up a hit and striking out one. Jackson McClelland allowed just a walk and struck out three in his two innings and Ty Tice put a bow on it, earning the save, allowing a hit in the ninth.
Anthony Alford was 2/4 with three runs out of the leadoff spot and Richard Urena was 2/5 with a double and a run. Rowdy Tellez was 2/4 with an RBI and Patrick Kivlehan was 2/4 with an RBI. Santiago Espinal and Socrates Brito each hit a double with Brito driving in a run and scoring once.

Roster Notes: Brock Stewart was recalled by the Blue Jays from Buffalo.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Erie SeaWolves (DET) 3
Even with Nate Pearson on the mound, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats couldn't get much offence going, falling 3-2 to the Erie SeaWolves.
Pearson went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits (including one home run) with three walks and eighth strikeouts. Corey Copping took the loss, giving up a run on three hits including a solo home run with a walk and two strikeouts in two innings. Dany Jimenez pitched a scoreless ninth.
Joshua Palacios hit a solo home run in his second consecutive game, going 1/4 with the blast while Chad Spanberger (1/3) and Forrest Wall (1/3, RBI) had singles. Kevin Smith (1/3, 2B, R) had a double.

Lansing Lugnuts 6, Dayton Dragons (CIN) 0
The Lansing Lugnuts turned in a dominant pitching performance, one-hitting the Dayton Dragons with a 6-0 win.
Troy Watson was on the mound and threw seven innings, giving up just one hit and no walks with four strikeouts for the win. Will McAffer struck out the side in the eighth and Cre Finfrock finished it, striking out two in the ninth.
Griffin Conine had another huge game, going 3/5 with a home run, three RBI and a run. Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was 2/4 and D.J. Neal was 2/4 with a double and two runs. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) also had two hits, going 2/5 with a triple, two RBI, a run and a stolen base. Yorman Rodriguez was 1/5 and Gabriel Moreno was 1/5 while Rafael Lantigua was 1/4 with a walk. Jake Brodt was 1/3 with a walk and two runs.

Vancouver Canadians 1, Everett AquaSox (SEA) 11
The Vancouver Canadians were beaten soundly again by the Everett AquaSox, falling 11-1 on Saturday.
Trevor Schwecke was 1/4 with a home run, providing the club's only scoring while Philip Clarke (2/3, BB) and Brett Wright (2/4, 2B) had two-hit games. Luis De Los Santos (1/4) and Tanner Morris (1/4) each had a single.
Grant Townsend took the loss, giving up six runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings while Alex Nolan (Burlington, Ont.) allowed another four runs on nine hits (including a home run) with one walk and five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. Josh Almonte walked one and struck out one in one inning of relief and Luke Gillingham allowed a run on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts over two innings.

Roster Notes: Yorman Rodriguez and Juan Nunez were sent from Vancouver to Lansing and Hagen Danner was sent from Lansing to Vancouver.
Bluefield Blue Jays 10, Princeton Rays (TB) 11
The Bluefield Blue Jays continued to have trouble with the Princeton Rays, losing 11-10 in a high scoring game.
Patrick Morris was on base four times, going 2/3 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs. Justin Ammons had four hits (including two doubles) and a walk, driving in a run, while Eric Rivera was 3/6 with three runs and a stolen base. Miguel Hiraldo was 2/6 with a double, two RBI, two runs and a stolen base while Davis Schneider (2/5, RBI, 2 R) and D.J. Daniels (2/5, RBI) had two hits each. Joseph Reyes was 1/5 and Anthony Morales was 1/5 with a run.
Roither Hernandez started and was charged with the bulk of the runs. He allowed 10 runs (six earned) on seven hits (including two home runs) and one walk with two strikeouts in just 2 1/3 innings. Juan Acosta allowed an unearned run on four hits with three strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings and Adams Cuevas finished the game, tossing three scoreless innings, giving up just a hit and a walk with three strikeouts.

DSL Blue Jays 8, DSL Reds 10
The DSL Blue Jays lost their second consecutive game to the DSL Reds, losing 10-8.
Gabriel Martinez had three hits, going 3/5 with an RBI while Gustavo Ruiz was 1/1 with a walk and two RBI and was hit by a pitch. Leonel Callez was 1/3 with a double and was hit by a pitch twice. Amell Brazoban was 2/5 with a double and two RBI while Yeison Jimenez was 1/4 with a triple, a walk and two runs. Glenn Santiago also hit a triple, going 1/5 with an RBI and a run. Gary David was 1/4 with a run.
Jonatan Bernal allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits (including a home run) with four strikeouts in five innings to take the loss. Juan Martinez allowed a run on a hit and a walk in two innings and Junior Guzman allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and struck out one in just one inning. Joneivy Polonia walked one and struck out one in the ninth.
