OTTAWA - Baseball Canada is pleased to announce the names of the 28 athletes invited to the Junior National Team’s (U18) Fall Instructional League Camp set to take place in the Dominican Republic from October 19 - 29.

The 10-day camp will see the squad tour nine different Major League Baseball (MLB) club complexes on the southeast side of the Dominican Republic, featuring games against prospects from the Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Arizona Diamondbacks, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Rays.

The Junior National Team program is entering an exciting new chapter, with 20 talented players set to make their debuts this fall in the Dominican Republic. The camp marks an important step as the program begins building toward the 2026 WBSC Americas U18 Baseball World Cup Qualifier.

Eight players return to the Junior National Team this fall, bringing valuable experience to the roster. The group includes two-way right-hander Austin Blair (Victoria, BC), right-handed pitchers Cole Dorland (Langley, BC) and Julian Sabourin (Ancaster, Ont.), left-hander Sean Duncan (Port Coquitlam, BC), infielders Elliot Lascelles (Toronto, Ont.) and Robert Omidi (Mississauga, Ont.), and catcher Taye Thierman (Calgary, Alta.).

Joining coach Greg Hamilton on the staff are former National Team and professional players Mike Johnson, Jesse Hodges, and Tim Smith.
