The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Brooks Bombers 6-2 in front of 4,522 loyal fans at Seaman Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Dawgs have now won back-to-back games and improved their season record to 29-11.
With the victory, they maintain their lead atop the WCBL’s Western Division.
The Dawgs’ bats were led by Landon Kauffman (Vancouver, B.C.) who went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
Jordan Kievman also had a big night with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh, while Ricky Sanchez added two hits and two walks.
On the mound, the Dawgs received a quality start from Evan Lehnert who went six strong innings, allowing just one run and striking out six.
Grady Keljo then contributed a scoreless inning of relief before Dalton Hoffart came on in the eighth and worked his way out of a tough jam.
The Dawgs now head out on the road to take on the Lethbridge Bulls on Wednesday.
Their next home game will be on Friday against the Bombers. First pitch for both games is 7:05 p.m.
