Kauffman, Wrubleski power Dawgs to win

The Okotoks Dawgs continued their winning ways on Wednesday, pounding out 16 hits to defeat the Saskatoon Berries 10-5 at NextGen Patch at Cairns Field.

Jacob Wrubleski (Okotoks, Alta.) led the Dawgs' offence, going 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning.

Landon Kauffman (Vancouver, B.C.) added three hits - including two doubles. He also had two runs, an RBI and a stolen base.

Emmet Stacher was another offensive standout, going 4-for-5 with two RBIs and a run.

On the mound, Tyson Willis started and allowed just two runs, while striking out three, in 4 2/3 innings.

Grady Keljo, Ryan Stone and Korey Alston each contributed a scoreless inning in relief, with Alston striking out the side to close out the game.

The Dawgs will look to keep rolling on their road trip as they head to Regina to face the Red Sox on Thursday.
