Langley Blaze head to Arizona on March trip

Former Langley Blaze RHP Micah Bucknam (Abbotsford, BC) was a fourth round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays.

When the pros show in Arizona ... so do the Langley Blaze.

The annual tour has set its dates for games against first and second-year pros as wll as college teams.

The Blaze had five players or alumni drafted or signed in the summer of 2025:

_ RHP Cam Leiter, who pitched for the Blaze for three years and whose mother is from Maple Ridge, BC, went in the second round to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a $1.35 million bonus.

_ RHP Micah Bucknam (Abbotsford, BC) was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays, from Dallas Baptist University, who signed for a $678,300 bonus.

_ Undrafted free-agent LHP Reid Clague (Victoria, BC), who signed with the Cincinnati Reds for $150,000.

_ Undrafted 1B Tom Poole (Calgary, Alta.) also who went to the Dallas Baptist and signed with the Tampa Bay Rays.

_ Undrafted free-agent OF Jonny McGill (Richmond, BC) of the University of British Columbia, who was signed by the Los Angeles Angels,

_ And RHP Curtis Hebert the University of Portland went in the 20th round to the Houston Astros.

Coaches Doug Mathieson and Jamie Bodaly runswill take the team south.
