OTTAWA – Junior National Team alum and current University of Oregon right-handed pitcher Adam Maier cracked MLB Pipeline’s 2022 Top 100 Draft Prospects list at No. 81.

The North Vancouver, B.C., native exploded onto the prospects scene last summer in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League where his high spin rates and command for a plus slider attracted the attention of pro evaluators.

He will have the opportunity to further showcase himself at the University of Oregon in 2022 when they begin their schedule on February 18.

Maier toed the rubber as a member of the Junior National Team in 2019 representing Canada at the WBSC U18 Baseball World Cup in South Korea before attending the University of British Columbia as a two-way player for the pandemic shortened 2020 season.

UBC did not play competitive games in 2021 due to the pandemic and after Maier’s showing in Cape Cod he made the decision to transfer to Oregon.

Maier is a product of the North Shore Twins Baseball Club.
