Official Ontario Blue Jays News Release

The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that SS/P Ryan Kush (Guelph, Ont.) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at the University of the Cumberlands (NAIA - Williamsburg, KY).

He will be the third Kush brother to graduate the OBJ Program as he joined alongside right-handed pitcher Jacob and shortstop Kyle as a 15-year-old and has grown up through the program. He has the ability to contribute both as a position player and a pitcher, he's a true hybrid of both his older brothers.

He will be joining a national powerhouse in the NAIA with the Patriots who have picked up over 40 wins the past three years and was well on pace this past year sporting a 22-3 record prior to the pandemic. The Patriots have taken home 28 Conference Championships in their history and will look to continue the trend next Spring. Kush looks to immediately impact the pitching rotation and work towards jumping into the Patriots line up as a Freshman.

Kush will be the first Ontario Blue Jays player to attend the University of the Cumberlands.
