Ontario Terriers

Frontier College has handed out its second scholarship in a week to a member of the Terriers 18u pitching staff.

Congratulations to Andre Wojtarowicz‎ who committed to the Frontier College Bobcats, rounding out a dynamic right/left Terriers punch on the mound. Righthander Matt Brown's also recently committed to Frontier.

Andre is a stealth 6-foot-3, 180-pound lefty with a fast arm and wipe out slider. He has dominated opponents this fall and recently had a solid two-inning performance at the CPBL All- Star weekend in late September.

Andre pitches at 84-86 but flashed 89 MPH at the tryouts in August for that event.

His strength and athleticism has also helped him measure run and gun pulldowns up to 97 mph.

Academically, Andre is leaving high school as an Honour Roll student. He is an outstanding teammate equipped with quiet leadership qualities and a positive attitude and demeanour.

Frontier is one of the four educational institutions that comprise Illinois Eastern Community College (IECC). The campus is spread across 55 acres ‎with 10 buildings. In 2012, FCC was recognized as one of 18 colleges nationwide to achieve 100% overall graduation and transfer performance rating. Recently (2017) Frontier was ranked as the No. 1 community college in the State of Illinois by bestcolleges.com.
