The Jets held on for a 6-5 victory over the PBA JV on Tuesday, despite giving up three unearned runs late in the game.

Jack Mount started going two innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five. Maddux Mateychuk followed and permitted just one hit and fanned three in his two innings. Reece Keller then struck out three in his two hitless frames before Justin Adamoski surrendered a hit and three unearned runs while collecting two strikeouts. Levi Abbott tossed the final inning to earn the save.

Offensively, the Jets were led by Nick Backstrom who had an outstanding day, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs. Max Grant also added three hits for the Jets, while Carlin Dick, Jackon Clemett, Aaron Vulcano, Josh Clark and Shaye McTavich had a hit each.

The Jets’ next action is a doubleheader on Friday against PBA in Lethbridge.
