The Okotoks Dawgs earned an 8-7, 10-inning victory over the Regina Red Sox on Sunday at Currie Field.

Jacob Wrubleski (Okotoks, Alta.) sparked the Dawgs’ bats, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a double, two runs and four RBIs.

Cal Gates also had an excellent game, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base. He knocked in the winning run in the 10th inning with a triple.

Brody Burnette earned the win after closing out the game with 2 1/3 innings of relief.

Earlier, Dalton Hoffart contributed two scoreless innings in relief.

The Dawgs will now return home to face the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
