Experienced Canadian team heads into Olympic Qualifier

Albert Einstein once said, “The only source of knowledge is experience.” If that’s the case, the Canadian national team should be one of the most savvy and competitive squads at the Americas Olympic qualifier in Palm Beach and St. Lucie, Fla., set to begin on Monday. The Canuck roster is chock full of veterans who have helped them win medals at previous competitions, and some of the players have suited up for Canada as many as 10 times.

Baseball Canada's Women’s events a hit

Over the weekend, Baseball Canada hosted virtual events geared towards increasing participation in baseball for women in the areas of coaching, administrative and official scoring roles. The events were established as part of Baseball Canada's Gender Equity Committee plan and were considered an overwhelming success with over 100 women combined taking part.

Dates, locations set for WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier

The Palm Beaches and St. Lucie County, Florida will play host to the WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier from May 31 to June 5 the World Baseball Softball Confederation announced on Tuesday. Canada’s men’s national team will be joined by seven other countries for the event that will determine the fifth national team to qualify for the Tokyo Olympic baseball tournament, joining qualified nations Japan, Korea, Mexico and Israel.
