Siddall earns MAAC POY

For the second consecutive year and fourth time in seven seasons, a member of the Canisius College Griffs has been named the 2015 MAAC Player of the Year. Junior outfielder Brett Siddall (Windsor, Ont.) earned the award at the annual MAAC awards banquet, in Fishkill, N.Y., on Tuesday afternoon, following a season in which he finished tied for the league lead in RBIs with 55 and paced the MAAC in home runs with 11.

Griffs sweep Niagara in DH

Coach Mike McRae (Niagra Falls, Ont.) guided his current school, the Canisius Griffs, to a doubleheader sweep over his old team, the Niagara Purple Eagles, thanks to J.P. Stevenson (New Glasgow, PEI) and Jake Lumley (Windsor, Ont.) who won pitcher and player of the week earlier in the MAAC.
