The PBA Dawgs fought through 11 innings, including a 10th inning rally to tie the game to beat longtime rival Thompson Rivers University 4-3. A tooth infection that required emergency surgery has limited Vauxhall Baseball Academy graduate Carson Perkins to 16 innings in six appearances in his first year at Canisius College. But the 6-foot-5 right-hander, who lost 30 pounds after enduring two root canal surgeries, has recuperated and is enjoying being part of his collegiate squad.
