Patterson named NSAA's top player, Brook, McCorrister also honoured

Okotoks Dawgs alum JT Patterson (Calgary, Alta.) was named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Player of the Year at an awards ceremony on Thursday. He was also named to the NSAA All-Conference First Team and won a Gold Glove for his work at third base. Elmwood Giants alum Aiden Brook (Oarbank, Man.), who starred for Valley State this year, was named the catcher on the NSAA All-Conference Second Team where he was joined by fellow Manitoban Jared McCorrister (Boissevain, Man.) who was named an outfielder on that team for his efforts for Mayville State.

Kissock reunites with college teammates for Lewis-Clark State hall induction

Chris Kissock (Trail, B.C.) and his family took a journey back in time on Saturday. The pitching ace and his 2007 Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) Warriors baseball team were inducted into the Lewis-Clark Hall of Fame in Lewiston, Idaho. Kissock reunited with his teammates from the 2007 NAIA World Series Championship team at a ceremony at the Clearwater Riverside Casino and Lodge Event Centre.

Yet, on Wednesday despite their different locales both Vauxhall and Nanaimo Pirates grad RHP Josh Burgmann and Dartmouth Moosehead Dry’s OF Jake Sanford were named to the Golden Spikes Award mid-season watch list by USA Baseball.
