Alexis on the road: Robson earns all-star nod and promotion

Before earning a promotion to the Florida State League's Lakeland Flying Tigers, Detroit Tigers prospect Jacob Robson (Windsor, Ont.) led the West Michigan Whitecaps with a .329 batting average to go with a .408 on-base percentage in 60 games. For his efforts, he was selected to play in the Midwest League All-Star Game. Canadian Baseball Network lead writer Alexis Brudnicki caught up with the young outfielder to talk about his all-star experience.

As the Toronto Blue Jays' class-A Short Season Vancouver Canadians opened their season on Thursday night, playing professional baseball in another city in Canada may have provided some good karma as the Blue Jays' minor league affiliates won all eight of their games including sweeps of doubleheaders by the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Lansing Lugnuts. The big story was Bo Bichette who is now hitting .400 after going 7/8 in the Lugnuts' two games last night. Jay Blue has the rundown.
