Atlanta's streak of sending people to Cooperstown for the July induction ceremonies continued as former president and GM John Schuerholz and commissioner Bud Selig were elected.

Schuerholz will join LHP Tom Glavine, RHP Greg Maddux and manager Bobby Cox inducted in 2014, RHP John Smoltz in 2015 and Chipper Jones is expected to be elected in 2018. 

Former Dodgers GM Ned Colletti brough this year's Rookie of the Year into the Los Angeles Dodgers system with the help of  Dana Sinclair, a registered psychologist who runs Human Performance International.

Former Montreal Expos third base coach Russ Nixon passed away last week at age 81. Nixon managed both the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves.
