Koskie aims to inspire young athletes with new website

Corey Koskie believes in the power of a story. And few athletes can offer more inspiration by sharing their personal experiences than the former Minnesota Twins third baseman. Now more than 12 years removed from his last major league game, the Anola, Man., native could be considered an expert in a number of areas, including overcoming long odds, conquering adversity, adapting to life after a professional sports career and how to motivate young athletes. Fortunately for parents, coaches and the athletes themselves, Koskie has chosen to share his stories on his most recent project, a website called Linklete (linklete.com).

From Seaman Stadium to the major leagues: Andrew Kittredge

Baseball fans have seen plenty of talented pitchers toe the rubber on the mound at Seaman Stadium, home of the Okotoks Dawgs, since its opening in 2007, but without a doubt, Andrew Kittredge stood out. In 2017, the now 28-year old right-hander became the second Dawgs alumnus to play in the major leagues when he got the call from the Tampa Bay Rays in July of that season.
