BCJPBL Provincials Day 2: Tritons, Twins emerge as faves

Friday was Day Two of the 2017 BC Junior Premier Baseball League Championships at Lambrick Park in Victoria and after the day’s action it appears that the No. 1 and 2 seeds heading into the tournament, the North Shore Twins and White Rock Tritons, are emerging as the favourites, as they both remained undefeated in round robin play.

Eagles nearly upset Twins BC Junior Premier Provincial opener

The host Victoria Eagles took a 5-4 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday afternoon, only to watch as North Shore’s Lucas Yang stroked a bases loaded, two-RBI double to give the Twins a walk-off 6-5 victory in the opening game for both teams at the British Columbia Junior Premier Baseball League (BCJPBL) 2017 Provincial Championships at Lambrick Park in Victoria.
