For a time it seemed as if the first pitch thrown outdoors in Saskatchewan would never come due to the COVID‑19 pandemic. Then, Chase Thomson threw the first pitch for the Regina Wolfpack to get things started. Finally, the season was underway in the 18U Saskatchewan Premier League.
