HarbourCats' MacNeil, Shupe, Davis and Franklin named to All-WCL teams
“Going 6-0 with a 1.08 ERA was more than enough to get Logan MacNeil the attention of voters for the West Coast League all-star team, as the Vancouver product who pitched at New Mexico JC in spring was named to the first team today.
Oddly, the HarbourCats led the WCL in just about every offensive category but no hitter was voted to the first team -- nine of the 10 first-team position players were from the South Division. For the HarbourCats, shortstop Hudson Shupe (Gonzaga), catcher/first baseman Tyler Davis (Fresno State) -- who was top five in home runs, hits and RBIs -- made the second team, as did lefty Davis Franklin (Puget Sound), who was 2-1 with four saves and a 1.44 ERA.”
