WBSC postpones Americas Olympic Qualifier due to coronavirus

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has announced that the Baseball Americas Olympic Qualifier scheduled for March 22 to 26 in Surprise and Tempe, Arizona has been postponed due to player, personnel and spectator health and safety measures to counter the spread of the coronavirus. The Canadian Senior National Team was set to participate in this tournament to attempt to qualify for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
