Goldeyes' game suspended, to resume Thursday

Wednesday night’s game between the Winnipeg Goldeyes and Chicago Dogs was suspended due to rain. The game was tied 1-1 in the bottom of the second inning when heavy rains forced a delay. Wednesday’s game will resume at 5:05 p.m. Thursday evening and play out a full nine innings. Thursday’s originally scheduled contest will follow, and has been shortened to seven innings.

Canadian Premier Baseball League to host Inaugural Fall Showcase Tournament

Over the final weekend of September, the Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) will host a three-day tournament highlighting the best 2021 and 2022 graduates from across the province. All of the eligible players will have an opportunity to try out for the showcase event in front of professional scouts, who will determine the top talent to match up against one another in the fall All-Star tournament taking place the weekend of September 25, 26 & 27th.
