Blue Jays activate Giles, call up Kirk

The Toronto Blue Jays have activated RHP Ken Giles off the 45-day injured list and selected the contract of C Alejandro Kirk. Both will be active for Friday night's game against the New York Mets at Sahlen Field. In a pair of corresponding moves, RHP Sean Reid-Foley has been optioned to the club's alternate training site in Rochester and C Caleb Joseph was designated for assignment.

Ontario Blue Jays’ INF Myles Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.) has committed to further his education and play baseball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Naylor is the younger brother of former Tech signee Josh Naylor; who was drafted by the Miami Marlins 12th overall, and Bo Naylor; initially a Texas A&M commit who was selected 29th overall by the Cleveland Indians in the 2018 MLB Draft.
