Best day on the ball field: “When I had the opportunity to be the starting pitcher for Team Canada when we played Team USA at worlds in 2022. It was an amazing experience as I faced some of the best talent in the world.”
Headed for triple figures: “The pitch velocity did show on the scoreboard during the game, and I did see the number. However, I did not know if it was a rounded-up 98 or an actual 99 mph pitch. My teammates were all excited for me either way because a 98 mph would have been a personal record. It was confirmed by our GM later that night that it had been an actual 99.2 instead of rounded up. Before the Canada Day game, my previous PR was 97 mph. In that game, I had multiple 98s as well as the 99.2 mph pitch.”
