Best day on the ball field? “The next day. I love to play the game, and learn about the game so the next time I get to step on the field is the best day. I’m super grateful to have the opportunity to get better every day, so I take pride in that and making the most of my opportunity.
Good genes: “My mother, Nicole Kitura, was a competitive swimmer throughout highschool but never swam at university. My father, Greg Kitura, played hockey and soccer growing up, but never played in university.”
The most influential people in my baseball life: “My parents, without there support and willingness to allow me to pursue my dream I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am today.
The most influential person in my baseball career is besides my parents): “Jim Kotkas, my hitting coach at Vauxhall. He has shaped my swing and approach into what it is today and I’m so grateful for not only that but what he’s done for me off the field, acting as a father figure.”
Tending the twine: Like so many other Canadian players - including Hall of Famer Larry Walker (Maple Ridge, BC), former MVP Justin Morneau (New Westminster, BC) 14 years in the majors) and 3B Corey Koskie (Anola, Man.), nine years in the majors his career cut short by a concussion - Kitura was a netminder for the PAC Saints HC 15U before switching to the diamond.
Favourite player when you started playing: “Buster Posey. I had a family friend that first got me into playing ball and they were big Giants fans, so at the time I adapted into one and fell in love with watching Buster Posey.
Favourite player to watch today: “Either Ernie Clement or Bobby Witt jr. I love watching both these guys play because they impact the game on so many levels, the type of player I’m learning to become.
Interested teams: “There has been lots of interest, but at the moment my focus is just on playing and enjoying playing the game every day I have the opportunity”
Where can he be seen _ He’s not a victory lapper, but too old for the Junior National Team … Had lots of exposure and lots of teams dreamining on him after showing well at the Area Code Games, East Coast Pro, Canadian Futures Showcase, Team Canada Junior National Team.

Scouting Report
Perfect Game
“Easton Kitura is a 2026 OF/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Vauxhall, AB who attends Vauxhall Academy of Baseball. Lean and athletic build with lots of physical projectability remaining. Left-handed hitter, with an even base and balanced setup. Simple trigger with a rhythmic operation in the box overall. Leveraged stroke with some feel to lift the ball to all fields. Strong through it with a good feel to work pull-side. Projectable operation in the batter’s box with an optimal path, with good bat-to-ball skills. Hit well in-game with several hits, producing good line-drive contact. Worked out in the outfield, fielding it out in front with accuracy around the bag. Throws come out well. Moves low to the ground and fields it with a smooth gather, working into it. Throws were at 86 mph with one-hop accuracy around the bag. Good round of throws from the outfield. Also worked out on the infield, moving low to the ground, with confident hands, and some feel for the glove work. Snatchy hands with a three-quarters slot across the infield. Compact release, comes out well. Made all of the plays on the dirt. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami (FL).”
