So which program in Canada had the most players drafted in 2010?

Going by current players and alumni selected in this month’s draft the 2010 top producers were the Academie Baseball Canada and the Toronto Mets.

Both programs had four players each selected.

Coached by Jason Chee-Aloy, the Mets had alumnus Jake Eliopoulos (Newmarket, Ont.) go in the 15th round to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Coach Joel Landry’s Montreal-based ABC had Jonathan Paquet (Ancienne Lorette, Que.) as the top grad going in the 22nd to the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Ontario Blue Jays were next with three current players or alumni selected.

The Langley Blaze and Alberta-based Vauxhall Academy shared top honours in 2009 with six apiece.

The Intercounty Terriers and the Blaze shared top honours with three apiece in 2008.
