It’s hot and humid in Georgia each July.

Pet owners are advised to keep their dogs inside for fear of heat stroke.

Hall of Famer Duke Snider, the Montreal Expos broadcaster, used to say it got so humid in “Hot-lanta that mosquitoes grew so big you could put saddles on them.”

Despite the heat and humidity the Ontario Blue Jays 16U Travers team blanked the Georgia Jackets 9-0 to win the 24-team CABA 16U Metal Bat World Series at Marietta, Ga.

The tourney win ranks behind the Ontario Blue Jays winning the 2013 Mickey Mantle World Series and the 2015 Perfect Game 18u BCS in the history of the organization which dates back to Gene Bartolozzi and Gary Wilson starting the organization.

Not that it was hot, but the azaleas were sweating in 92-degree weather.

Not that it was hot but a lawyer from Macon told us that chickens were laying fried eggs!
