The new Brooks franchise is ready for its inaugural season in the Western Major Baseball League took a major step toward opening day by naming the coaching staff for the 2016 season.

Head Coach/Pitching Coach

Ehren Moreno - Texas Southern University

Ehren was as assistant coach at Crowder College from 2009-2011 before moving to Texas Southern University as the Pitching/Assistant Coach role.  That role has recently changed as he was appointed as the Associate Head Coach this past season.

As an new organization starting up, we wanted to solidify a coach that wanted to be here and wants to win.  Ehren has excellent credentials and gets the most out of his athletes.   We believe he will be an excellent fit and his pitching background will be a strong asset for our players.

Assistant Coach

Kyle Dhanani - Thompson Rivers University

Kyle played college baseball at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC and was selected in the 43rd round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.  He went on to play 4 years in the organization from 20090-2012.  He then moved on to the San Rafael Pacifics of the Pacific Association in 2013 and in 2014 played in the Frontier League for the Rockford Aviators.

He is currently an Assistant Coach under Ray Chadwick at his alma mater of Thompson Rivers University.

We are excited to have Kyle in our organization.  We feel he brings a wealth of knowledge in the area of infield play, base running, and hitting.  His background and ties to the Milwaukee Brewers will help provide our players with first hand professional experience.

Bench Coach

Tyler Seibert - East Texas Baptist University

Tyler played his college baseball at Oakton Community College before transferring to Texas College.  He has WMBL experience with the Saskatoon Yellowjackets and knows what the league is all about.  Tyler is currently as Assistant Coach at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas.  He also was the Pitching Coach/Assistant Coach for the Woodland Strykers this past summer in the Texas Collegiate League.

We are pleased to have Tyler join our coaching staff.  He is a young coach who has a passion for the game and he wants to gain some valuable coaching experience here in the WMBL.  Tyler also has a pitching background and will help Ehren handle the pitching staff.

Stay tuned as we look to announce some of the roster signings!!
