Balazovic hits 90 at Sunshine East PG Showcase

Jordan Balazovic impressed at the Perfect Game Sunshine East Showcase.
RHP Balazovic (Mississauga, Ont.) who is eligible for the 2016 draft was ranked the second best prospect by Perfect Game scouts on their top 18 list when all was said and done at the 5-Plex Player Development Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.
A total of 10 of the top 18 arms were Florida pitchers, while six were from Puerto Rico, one from New Jersey and Balazovic of the Ontario Blue Jays was the lone Canuck to crack the list.
He was one of three pitchers at the event to register 90 MPG on the radar guns.
RHP Andrew Wilkinson (Oakville, Ont.) was the other Canadian on hand.

Balazovic has made big strides since Perfect Game last saw the projectable righthander. Now listed at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, Balazovic employs a long and fluid arm action while showing the ability to work down to both sides of the plate with a fastball that worked 86-89 mph, touching 90 while flashing a nice slider at 77 mph.

Jordan Balazovic (2016 RHP, Mississauga, Ont.) sat 86-90 this morning on his fastball to go along with his curveball at 74mph, his slider at 78mph, and his change-up at 81mph. Balazovic does a good job of pitching to both sides of the plate with a balanced delivery and has good armside run to his change-up.
