Tayler Saucedo allowed four hits and one walk as he fanned four in seven scoreless innings in a win for class-A Lansing.

Blue Jays from Away
The Blue Jays’ affiliates won three out of their four matches, seeing a number of players hit home runs on a Wednesday night.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Columbus Clippers 0
The Bisons won again by a four-run margin, beating the Columbus Clippers 4-0 on the back of a great outing by a Canadian. Scott Diamond went eight innings, allowing just five hits with two strikeouts for the win. Ben Rowen finished it off with a perfect ninth.
On offense, Darrell Ceciliani (2/4, SB) and Matt Dominguez (2/4, RBI) each had two hits while Jesus Montero (1/4, HR) and Tony Sanchez (1/3, HR, 2 RBI) hit home runs.
Player of the Game: Scott Diamond
Roster Notes: Chad Girodo was optioned to Buffalo after the trade for Jason Grilli.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Harrisburg Senators 6
Despite a two-run home run from Rowdy Tellez, the Fisher Cats couldn’t get much more additional offense and fell 6-3 to the Harrisburg Senators. Tellez was 1/3 with the dinger but was also caught stealing. Jon Berti swiped his team-leading 21st base.
On the mound, Jeremy Gabryszwski was tagged for five runs but only two were earned as he gave up five hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings. Matt Dermody stranded the runner Gabryszwski left on and pitched 1 2/3 innings of perfect ball, striking out two. Chris Smith finished the game with 2/3 of an inning, allowing an unearned run on two hits.
Player of the Game: Rowdy Tellez
Dunedin Blue Jays 6, Daytona Tortugas 1
Francisco Rios continues to dazzle hitters as he threw six innings of one-run ball in a 6-1 win for Dunedin. Rios went 95 pitches but walked four and struck out three. Adonys Cardona walked one in his inning while Colton Turner and Brad Allen each struck out the side in his inning. Turner’s scoreless innings makes it 23 2/3 innings for him on the season without allowing a run.
Jonathan Davis had a great day at the plate, going 3/4 with a double, an RBI and a run while Dickie Joe Thon was 3/3 with a walk, two doubles, a triple, two RBI and two runs. Jorge Saez also continues to mash Florida State League pitching since his return from New Hampshire, adding a home run and a single in four at bats. Jason Leblebijian was 2/5.

Lansing Lugnuts 6, Dayton Dragons 0
The Lugnuts strong pitching made mincemeat out of the hapless Dayton Dragons who fell to a 13-40 record by way of a 6-0 shutout at the hands of Lansing. Tayler Saucedo, who has been up and down this year, had a great start, allowing just four hits and one walk with four strikeouts in seven innings. Nate Abel made his Lugnuts debut, retiring all three batters he faced and striking out one while Ryan Cook threw a 1-2-3 ninth, striking out two of his three batters.
All nine Lansing hitters got at least one hit with Lane Thomas hitting the club’s only home run. Juan Kelly drove in three runs, hitting a double and a sacrifice fly. Ryan Hissey was on base three times, singling and walking twice while Gunnar Heidt was 1/4 with a double, a walk and two runs.

Roster Notes: Andrew Case was assigned to the Lansing Lugnuts from the Vancouver Canadians, likely in preparation for him finishing his suspension.
