The matchups are set, and the Canadian Baseball League semifinals start on Friday.

Hamilton (31-17) enters the playoffs as the top seed after winning its last six games. The Cardinals took four of six regular season meetings against the Baycats (27-21), though five of those games were decided by three or fewer runs.

London (31-17), the second seed, opens its semifinal on Friday at home against Welland (31-17). The Majors have dropped four straight, including Tuesday’s completed game against Welland, to fall out of top spot. London won four of six regular season matchups with the Jackfish, and each victory was by one, two or three runs.
