GUELPH, ONT. - The Guelph Royals have acquired outfielder Ryan Dos Santos from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for cash considerations.

Dos Santos (Mississauga, Ont.), 26, joins the Royals after spending the first five seasons of his CBL career in Toronto.

While with the Leafs, the speedy outfielder batted a lifetime .294 with a .442 OBP.

In 2025, the one-time All-Star set the league record for walks in a season with 46.

Dos Santos said he is excited for a new beginning in Guelph.

"I want to thank the Leaf fans for having me as their own at Christie for the last five years,” he said. “I'm excited to be a Royal and start the next chapter of my baseball career."

Royals assistant general manager Ryan Eakin said Dos Santos will be a game-changer for Guelph.

"We needed to upgrade our outfield coming into the offseason and made Ryan our top priority. We have wanted him for a long time. He gets on base, provides havoc on the bases, and has some power. He is everything we were missing last year at the top of our lineup. I have long been a fan of how he plays the game and how passionate he is. He is all about winning and wears his emotions on his sleeve. Between Ryan and Marcos Castillo, we are thrilled with how our retooled outfield is looking."
