GUELPH - The Guelph Royals have re-signed infielder Conner Morro for the 2026 season.

Morro (Cheltenham, Ont.), 28, returns for his fifth season with the team, having debuted with the team in 2022 after spending his first three seasons with the Barrie Baycats.

In 2025, the three-time champion batted .246 with a .338 OBP.

For his career, the 2016 Rookie of the Year has batted a lifetime .315 with 16 home runs.

Royals assistant general manager Ryan Eakin said it is great to have Morro back.

"Conner is an integral part of what we do, on and off the field. He is a winner who plays the right way and sets a standard for us. He does everything asked of him and does it well. We have full belief that he is an elite shortstop in this league when it truly matters."
