HAMILTON, ONT. – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of infielder Jaden Brown for the 2026 season.

Brown, a native of Mississauga, Ont., is a former member of the Junior National Team. He was ranked as the No. 58 player in the Class of 2019 by Perfect Game and No. 1 in Canada.

Brown was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft but did not sign. He committed to the University of Kentucky, where he redshirted his freshman season in 2020. Brown later transferred to Iowa Western Community College, an NJCAA Division I program, and slashed .274/.410/.429 in 38 games during the 2021 season.

In 2022, Brown returned to the NCAA level, transferring to the University of Texas at Arlington, who compete in the Sun Belt Conference. He appeared in 36 games for the Mavericks. Brown spent his final two collegiate seasons in 2023 and 2024 at Austin Peay State University in the ASUN Conference, posting a .319/.406/.538 slash line across 80 games, with 15 home runs and 79 RBI. He earned All-ASUN Third Team honours in 2024.

Brown debuted for the Cardinals in 2025, where he stole 11 bases in 37 games as one of the club’s everyday infielders. He notably hit three home runs in just seven playoff games.
