HAMILTON, ONT. – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of first baseman Tanner Rempel for the 2026 season.

A native of Abbotsford, B.C., Rempel developed his skills with the Abbotsford Cardinals of the British Columbia Premier Baseball League (BCPBL).

Rempel committed to Colorado Mesa University, an NCAA Division II program competing in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Over five collegiate seasons with the Mavericks from 2016 to 2021, he appeared in 100 games and posted an impressive .363/.440/.625 slash line.

Now entering his fourth season with the Cardinals, Rempel previously played for the club from 2023 to 2025. He has a career .274/.327/.422 slash line and 10 stolen bases across 60+ games.

Last season, Rempel hit .247 over 22 games with two home runs and nine RBIs, while providing elite defence at first base.
