Right-hander Tyler Boudreau enjoyed the most dominant start of his professional career on Saturday.

Toeing the rubber for the New York Yankees’ class-A Tampa Tarpons, the Vauxhall Academy grad fanned a career-high 11 batters and limited the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Bradenton Marauders to one run on three hits in six innings to record the win.

For his efforts, he has been named the Canadian Baseball Network’s Minor League Player of the Week (June 9 to June 14).

Boudreau threw 59 of his 92 pitches for strikes.

His previous career-high for strikeouts in a game was nine, which he notched for the Tarpons on April 9 against the Clearwater Threshers.

With his performance on Saturday, Boudreau, who was born in Middle Sackville, N.S. but raised in Sylvan Lake, Alta., improved his 2026 record to 3-2 and lowered his ERA to 3.18. He has 67 strikeouts in 51 innings.

The 6-foot-1 righty was signed as a free agent by the Yankees following the 2025 MLB draft.
