The Okotoks Dawgs continued their winning ways on Monday, cruising to a 28-4 victory over the Brooks Bombers.
The Dawgs racked up 23 hits in the win, which was their seventh straight. They now have a 12-3 record.
Fueling the Dawgs’ offence was Jeremy Kuiper who went 5-for-7 with three runs, two home runs, six RBIs, a double and a stolen base. Ayden Crouse also had a big night, finishing 3-for-6 with five runs, two home runs and three RBIs.
Jayden Lusk, Hank Griffin (Montreal, Que.), and Emmett Stacher added further production, combining for nine runs, 12 RBIs and a home run apiece.
On the mound, Gabe Brabec set the tone with a solid four-inning start, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out four.
Jerome Pare (Montreal, Que.) delivered another impressive relief appearance, holding the Bombers scoreless over two innings while surrendering just one hit and striking out four. Ty Johnson shut the door in the final frame, striking out three and allowing no hits or runs.
The Dawgs now shift their focus to a road matchup against the Energy City Cactus Rats on Wednesday before returning home to Seaman Stadium on Thursday to host the Lethbridge Bulls at 7:05 p.m.
