Canadian Baseball Network

This is not a first.

We’re late with our 13th annual Top 100 Canadian Baseball Network top 100 most influential Canadians in baseball list.

But it’s the first time 16 days at Foothills Hospital in Calgary and five days in a hotel has thrown us off our split-second schedule.

It’s a list people like to complain about. We’ll never forget one Baseball Canada banquet when the first six people we saw complained.

The next person I ran into was Blue Jays president Paul Beeston, who started off complaining.

“Hold on, you were listed No. 1 — what do you have to complain about?” I asked.

Replied Beeston “Someone told me that the list was six years old … and I’ve only won three times … that’s what I’m upset about.”

We’ll have it for you soon ... as the old saying goes “We’re dancing as fast as we can.”
