Okotoks, Alta. – The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Energy City Cactus Rats 12-7 in front of 3,588 fans at Seaman Stadium on Tuesday.

The Dawgs received offensive contributions throughout the lineup, highlighted by Jayden Lusk who went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs, two runs and two walks.

Jordan Kievman continued his strong stretch at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Meanwhile, Matt Evans (Tillsonburg, Ont.) also added two RBIs, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a walk and a run.

The Dawgs' bullpen delivered a strong performance to keep the Cactus Rats' bats in check, with Evan Lehnert, Matthew Tran (Regina, Sask.), Carson Hindmarsh (Saskatoon, Sask.), Wyatt Sadlier (Calgary, Alta.) and Brody Burnette, combining for nine strikeouts and allowing just one run.

The Dawgs will host the Cactus Rats in their final regular season matchup on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. before beginning their playoff run against the same opponent on Friday at Seaman Stadium.
