Dawgs earn comeback win over Beavers

After falling behind 4-0 in the first two innings, the Okotoks Dawgs rallied for a 6-5 win over the Weyburn Beavers at Seaman Stadium on Friday night.

Jason Arriola and Jake Skaggs homered for the Dawgs, while Eric Machej (Okotoks, Alta.) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) also contributed a hit and a run.

Seven Dawgs relievers combined to allowed just one run in the final seven innings. Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.) earned the win when he tossed a scoreless fifth inning.

Cade Langford (Southwest Baptist University), Dominic Wade (Ellsworth Community College), Trey Mackwood (Calgary, Alta.), Frank Flores (Colorado State University - Pueblo) and Alex Oliver (Colorado State Univeristy - Pueblo) also threw scoreless innings for the Dawgs.

The Dawgs will play the Beavers again on Saturday at Seaman Stadium.
