The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Energy City Cactus Rats 5-4 in a nail-biter on Sunday.

The two teams went back and fourth all afternoon but in the end, the Dawgs were able to secure the win with some timely hitting, and clutch pitching in the final two innings from Alex Oliver (Colorado State University - Pueblo).

Benito Bonilla (Halifax, N.S.) drove in the game-winning run.

After a strong start, the Dawgs relied on their bullpen to close out the game, including appearances from Brody Forno (Okotoks, Alta.), Nate Charlton (Okotoks, Alta.), Chase Tucker (Mount Pearl, Nfld.), Frank Flores (Colorado State University - Pueblo), and Oliver who picked up his first win of the season.

The Dawgs will look to continue their winning ways when they take on the Sylan Lake Gulls on Tuesday at Seaman Stadium.
