The Okotoks Dawgs fell 4-3 to the Sylvan Lake Gulls on Friday at Gulls Stadium.

The Dawgs collected 11 hits and Ayden Crouse led the offence, going 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run and a stolen base.

Ricky Sanchez added two hits, while scoring the Dawgs' first run of the game.

Xander Guedes (North Vancouver, B.C.), from the Okotoks Dawgs Academy, turned in two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit while striking out four. Reid Madriaga closed the game with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of his own, striking out four and allowing just one hit to keep the Dawgs within reach.

The Dawgs will look to bounce back in their next home matchup on Saturday when they host the Energy City Cactus Rats at 7:05 p.m.
