The Okotoks Dawgs' offence exploded, scoring 11 runs in the final four innings to overpower the Brooks Bombers in a 15–6 victory at Elks Field.

After trailing early, the Dawgs flipped the script, finishing with 16 hits and 15 runs in a three-hour, 26-minute slugfest.

Brooks struck first in the bottom of the opening frame, but the Dawgs weathered the early fireworks and responded with thunder of their own. The turning point came in the top of the fourth inning, following Connor Crowson’s (Okotoks, Alta.) RBI single, which tied things up before Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) delivered a two-run triple to put the Dawgs ahead for good. However, Crowell wasn’t done—he finished with three hits and a game-high five RBIs.

Okotoks padded the lead with multi-run innings in the fifth, seventh, and a five-run eighth that completely broke the game open. Right fielder Barry Eiseman (Reinhardt University) added a solo home run in the top of the seventh, part of his 3-for-6 night with two RBIs.

Additionally, Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) scored three runs and added four RBIs while leadoff man Jake Skaggs (Pittsburg State University) got hit three times and stole two bases.

On the mound, Nate Charlton (Okotoks, Alta.) earned the win for Okotoks after steadying the game out of the bullpen with 1 2/3 scoreless frames.

With the win, the Dawgs evened their record at 2–2 and will look to carry their momentum into Tuesday at home where they will face the Bulls.
