The Junior National Team was back in action after four consecutive rainouts, continuing its Dominican Fall Instructional League schedule with a 12–5 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

Desmond Tregaskis (Delta, BC) got the start and worked 2 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out two.

Logan Cummins (Mississauga, Ont.) and Max Nantais-Vlahovich (Mississauga, Ont.) followed in relief, combining for four innings of work before Noah Powell (Toronto, Ont.) closed out the contest.

At the plate, the Canadians collected seven hits, highlighted by doubles from Taye Thierman (Calgary, Alta.), Zach MacDonald (Lacombe, Alta.), and Robert Omidi (Mississauga, Ont.). Thierman also added an RBI, while Maxime Blain (Repentigny, Que.) chipped in another run-scoring hit.

Rogan Rivard (Bonnyville, Alta.) and Omidi each stole a base.

The Juniors are scheduled to work out on Sunday at the Milwaukee Brewers Dominican Republic Complex before returning to play on Monday with a doubleheader.
