Jeff Rose has been named the 2026 Canadian Baseball League's Umpire of the Year, as selected by all teams.

The longtime umpire has been a respected fixture in the league since coming over from Alberta and has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability and a strong commitment to the CBL.

"With his calm personality, approachability and unwavering integrity, he has built a reputation of respect among CBL managers and players," CBL commissioner Ted Kalnins said.

It's the first time the league has recognized its top umpire, which it plans to do annually going forward.
